Impressions of Andalucía

Award-winning author, Linda Decker has joined with Peter Lawrence to produce a book of the delights of the province of Andalucía in Spain. Two bestselling authors have contributed to the book; Victoria Hislop (The Return) and Chris Stewart (Driving over Lemons, etc) have both written about parts of Andalucía including historic facts woven into the storyline by Victoria and a Foreword and personal impressions by Chris.  Victoria Hislop has contributed to our Chapter on Granada and its environs, describing how her visits to the region inspired her to write The return.

Peter's paintings some of which are illustrated in the Gallery of this website will enhance and illustrate the anecdotal writings of Linda about the places she has come to love in this beautiful area of Spain in and around the holiday villa she owns with her husband, Chris. Their beautiful villa is in the hills close to the white village of Sayalonga.

Linda lives half the year in Andalucía has a Diploma in Journalism and enjoyed

travel-writing and blogging until she decided to concentrate on writing her

award-winning travel memoir, which narrates her experience

of a posting which took the family to the West Bank and Jerusalem.

Bombs and Bougainvillea won first place for a non-fiction book

at the 2018 Scottish Association of Writers conference and has just

been published with a cover illustrated by Peter and has achieved

No1 rankings withing a few days in a number of market categories.

It is hoped to publish Impressions of Andalucía in Spring 2022.
